We love to have you with us for a kitesurfing course, and we recommend booking at least two days in advance to secure your spot. However, please keep in mind that during holidays and weekends, we may have a higher demand, and spots may fill up faster.
In case of unfavorable weather conditions, don't worry, we've got you covered. You can use the purchased course hours at any other time during the current or next season. That way, you won't miss out on any of the fun and excitement of learning to kitesurf.

Looking for a kiteboarding school that caters to all ages and sizes? Look no further! At our Obidos lagoon location in Portugal, we welcome students as young as 7 and as old as 70. Don't be surprised if your child progresses faster than you! With constantly evolving equipment and safety measures, age is no limit. We even offer special intro lessons for our youngest students to ensure they are ready for more advanced training. And for participants of all sizes, keep in mind that a minimum weight of 30 kg is required for kitesurfing.

When it comes to kiteboarding lessons, should you choose individual or group training? While group courses are a fun way to learn with a partner, family member or friend, individual training is often the best solution for fast progress. With an instructor and equipment available at all times, individual lessons allow for more focused attention on your skills. In a group course, classes are held with two people and one set of equipment, offering the chance to observe and analyze your partner's exercises. Plus, you can take a break while your partner performs a task. When it comes to group training, we understand that not everyone has a partner to join the course with. However, if you are interested in group classes but don't have a companion, don't worry – we will do our best to find you a suitable partner. If you do start with group lessons and find you need more individual attention, we can switch to that mode at any time.

The type of kitesurfing course that's right for you depends on your prior experience. If you're a complete beginner, don't worry - we'll start from scratch and guide you every step of the way. At our kiteboarding school, we're all about adventure, fun, and embracing the outdoors! We don't believe in limiting our season to just a few months, which is why we offer year-round lessons and activities. If the wind doesn't cooperate, don't worry - we have plenty of other activities up our sleeve, like hiking, surfing, and mountain biking. At our kiteboarding school, we want to make sure you have the best experience possible. That's why we offer 2 to 3 hours of classes per day, which we find is the perfect amount of time to make progress and have fun! We understand that everyone has different schedules, so we're very flexible and will work with you to find the best time for your lessons. With favorable weather conditions, a 3-5 days time is sufficient to complete the entire course.

Ah, the most frequently asked question in kitesurfing! It's a tough one to answer definitively, but we'll do our best! In general, we aim to get you to the stage of independent riding (going in both directions, sailing close to the wind, and making turns) within 12 hours of classes. However, everyone learns at their own pace and some may take longer.
Kitesurfing is a unique sport that requires coordination between controlling the kite, the board, and using your upper and lower body. Starting with the board is often the most challenging part, but we'll work with you until you've got it down pat!
If you've got experience with other board sports like wakeboarding or snowboarding, that could definitely speed up the learning process. So come on, let's hit the water and have some fun!

We offer our kiteboarding classes at our location at Bom Sucesso or/and at Ponta do Espichel, situated in the south part of Obidos lagoon. Our spots are the safest places to learn kitesurfing in the area.

Parking is available right in front of our villa or at the designated lesson locations for your convenience. No need to worry about finding a spot or walking far distances. We want your experience with us to be as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

The price of the course already covers all the kiteboarding gear, necessary equipment, and expert instructor guidance you'll need to start your classes. However, there are a few things you'll need to bring with you to make the most of your lessons, including a towel, sun cream, sunglasses with a rope to avoid losing them, and a hat. We want you to be fully concentrated on lessons during your kitesurfing adventure with us!

We're proud to train our students on one of the safest spots in Europe, which is known for its large expanse of shallow water. This means you'll feel secure during your first kitesurfing attempts. At SOLid kite, we understand that sometimes the weather can be unpredictable, and conditions may not be suitable for kiteboarding. If this happens, we will do our best to accommodate your schedule and reschedule your lesson for a later time if possible. We always keep an eye on the weather forecast, and if it looks like conditions will improve later in the day, we may postpone the lesson until then. If not, we'll simply reschedule for the next available windy day. Our goal is to ensure that you have a fun and safe learning experience, so we'll work with you to find the best solution.
